Okun-Model Fellow, Economic Studies

Elizabeth Oltmans Ananat, is an assistant professor of Public Policy and Economics at Duke University. Her research focuses on the intergenerational dynamics of inequality, specifically the ways that family structure, neighborhood structure, and public policy interact to affect children’s outcomes.



Expertise

The effects of access to fertility control technology on women’s and children’s outcomes; the causes and consequences of marriage; the effects of residential racial segregation on poverty, inequality, and urban growth; and the effects of local economic downturns on communities.
